About the role and who we are looking for:

We are looking for a Permanent Full-Time Chef Manager to manage the production of food at Compass Group Production Kitchen at Penrose in Auckland.40hrs per week.

This role would suit someone who likes working in a fast-paced food & cooking atmosphere, who has excellent people management skills and is experienced at leading successful teams.

The role will be responsible for:

• Managing overall backend operations for a high-volume Production Kitchen.
• Providing service to internal company sites.
• People management - hiring, training & retaining staff.
• Menu planning - costing - Menu presentation.
• Operating & maintain company assets.
• Reporting to GM operations on all activities including financial management.

The ideal candidate will have:

• The ability to innovate, lead a team in a high-volume production.
• The ability to trouble shoot, be a problem solver, and have a never say No attitude.
• Experience in large volume operations.
• P&L knowledge.
• Experience in Airline catering kitchen is a bonus.
