About the role

This role is responsible for creating memorable guest experiences through the high-quality preparation and presentation of the on-board dining experience with Sydney Harbour Cruises. Key responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

Oversight and production of all meals and function requirements, ensuring high quality and guest satisfaction;

Successfully operate the kitchen whilst maximizing business growth through the delivery of food service needs;

Maintain and exceed standards of service and operating standards, ensuring maximum guest experience;

Preparation and service of all sections in a kitchen;

Manage, monitor and control stock, inventory and ordering of food;

Monitor and maintain compliance records in relation to all aspects including HSE, Food Safety and HCCP;

Overseeing hygiene, cleanliness and general safety of all staff working in food preparation areas;

Staff mentoring, training, rostering and day-to-day guidance/direction of all kitchen staff;

Menu planning and creation of diverse seasonal dishes

Effectively communicate to a range of people including guests, suppliers, managers and staff.

About You

Requirements

The ideal candidate will be passionate and proud of the food and service that you deliver and be willing to go above and beyond for our guests, motivated to create ongoing memorable and unique guest experiences.

You will be a team player with a demonstrated positive "can-do" attitude, be comfortable working on water, have previous a fine-dining cookery experience and ability to deliver professional customer service. You will have a minimum of 3 years’ experience in a similar role and be passionate and proud of food and quality of service delivered.

You will be working with a team driven by highest quality food, cuisine trends and prides themselves on making dining an experience. It is a mandatory requirement that you are fully vaccinated against Covid-19.
