We are looking for an enthusiastic Permanent Full Time Chef to work at our site in Mount Maunganui. Hours of work are 07:00 - 14:30 rostered across 7 days a week (timings subject to change due to operational demand).

In this position you will be responsible for cooking, baking preparing and serving quality meals for the residents according to dietitian specifications and ensuring the quality of every dish we serve! You will need to assist with ordering and menu development as well as maintain the cleanliness of the kitchen. A friendly and helpful nature is important to us, the customer and client.
Ideal skills and experience you will have:
If you're our ideal candidate you will be hard working, have a high standard of presentation, with a friendly outgoing personality and a 'can do' attitude. You will already have at least 2 years' experience working in a commercial kitchen producing high quality food and homemade baking, be familiar with bulk food cooking and requirements in an aged care environment and ideally you will hold food safety certificates (Unit Standard 167 and 168). You will need to have the ability to work independently and confidently, but most importantly you will demonstrate a passion for great food, customer service and quality.
