 So, that's a little bit about what we do, now to 'what will you be doing with us?'

We are looking for an enthusiastic Chef to work at our Senior Living site in Ashwood Park. Hours of work are part-time permanent; Friday, Saturday and Sunday - 08:00 - 17.30.

Your responsibilities:

In this position you will be responsible for cooking, preparing and serving quality meals and snacks for up to 150 residents according to dietitian specifications, ensuring the quality of every dish we serve. You will be supervising staff, overlooking the kitchen operation and ensuring all requests are dealt with in a professional, timely manner in the absence of the Chef Manager. You will need to assist with ordering and maintaining kitchen cleanliness.

If you're our perfect candidate you will be hard working, have a high standard of presentation, with a friendly outgoing personality and a 'can do' attitude. You will already have some experience working in a commercial kitchen, preferably in an Aged Care environment, producing high quality food. Ideally you will hold food safety certificates (Unit Standard 167 and 168), or be happy to train for one. You will need to have the ability to work independently and confidently but most importantly you will demonstrate a passion for great food, customer service and quality.
