About the role:

At Compass Group we have partnered with Air New Zealand as one team to create an incomparable lounge experience that people value and remember and as such, we have an opportunity for amazing casual Chefs to join our team within the Regional Lounge of our Queenstown Airport Operations.

What you will be doing?

This role within the lounge will be responsible for preparing, cooking and presenting exceptional food, adding to outstanding "surprise and delight" moments for our valued customers. You will be participating in a team that goes above and beyond for our valued clientele and obtains the high levels of service standards expected at all times. Hours of work are casual, on an as and when required basis.

If you're our perfect candidate you will:

• Be hard working, reliable, flexible and able to work in a fast-paced kitchen environment
• Have proven experience working in a commercial kitchen as a Chef with some experience in pastries
• Have excellent understanding of all hygiene, health and food safety practices in a food environment
• Have a friendly, outgoing personality, with a "can-do" attitude
• Have excellent communication skills
• Preferably hold food safety certificates (Unit Standard 167 & 168)
• Demonstrate a passion for food, people, customer service and quality.
