Job Description
We are searching for a Channel Development Manager to join our team in Auckland. You will be responsible for identifying, engaging, and recruiting new Ecosystem Partners along with increasing engagement with existing our existing ecosystem. In short, using your experience and networks, you will work to build relationships, collaborating with senior leaders within Partner organisations to demonstrate mutual value being an active Ecosystem Partner.
Whilst the preferred location for this position is Auckland, but Wellington may be considered for exceptional candidates.
What else will I be doing day to day?
- Proactively identify areas of opportunities and value creation for target partners via IBM technology and services
- Driving new revenue with Partners who are currently underserved or underrepresented or have potential to drive significant revenue
- Drive targeted partners through key recruiting milestones and ultimately to a revenue result for both parties
- Actively identify new opportunities to go to market with partners
- Coordinate technical enablement, customer success, marketing, & SME resources to demonstrate full value of IBM partnership
- Remain up to date with expertise in IBM offerings
- Remain up to date on intra-market dynamics (e.g., key players, alliances, market makers) of Ecosystems, including end user needs and competitor capabilities to frame and support IBM value proposition
- Build understanding of target partner's operating model, offerings, & competitive positioning
What skills and experience do I need to apply?
- You’re a hunter with strong knowledge of channel sales within the IT sector – this is your playground, you thrive on collaborating with partners to bring innovative solutions to end clients
- You have exceptional people skills, able to build positive and profitable relationships with external Partners of all levels.
- You’re experienced building ecosystems of IT partners within the NZ market, you have credibility and understand how to show our partners how we can co-create for better outcomes
- You are proficient in Consultative Selling and Design Thinking principals to assist Partners to adopt IBM Technology into solutions, practices, and offerings by communicating business value
