The opportunity
The role is accountable for the assessment, analysis and coordination of IT changes based on requests for change for IT Services that include business services, infrastructure and application services. The role will use change management practices to ensure that there are minimal disruptions to the Transport business and that operations are maintained across the Transport cluster and improved to meet customer requirements.
The role requires the assessment and analysis of change components, change scheduling and the adoption of appropriate controls. Additionally, the role will also coordinate communication with stakeholders, project teams and customers regarding changes.
Key accountabilities
- Validation of incoming Requests for Change (RFC) and provide assurance over all stages of the unified Change Management Process and sub-processes, including the completion of impact analysis and change evaluation processes to ensure activities are in accordance with defined processes. This includes being available to manage the review, evaluation, and approval of Emergency changes.
- Oversee and co-ordinate all activities within the change process across all IT Services, monitor changes through all stages of the change lifecycle, working collaboratively with teams involved to exchange information and drive change management outcomes. Plan, schedule and maintain the forward change schedule, confirm that all changes have been successfully implemented and any required Post Implementation Reviews (PIRs) are carried out for failed changes. Lead and manage communications to all affected groups for Change Management.
- Provide assurance over change requests, run Enterprise Change Advisory Board (EnCAB) and ensure its ongoing effectiveness. Provide guidance and approvals for major changes or releases to be approved by the EnCAB.
- Review suppliers change management reports and reporting, and insights generated by the Service Reporting and Analytics team to identify adjustments or improvements required to the process, and proactively respond to service delivery issues, including end-to-end change management reporting and escalation of issues.
- Analyse and identify improvements to the Change management process and encourage the development and implementation of “standard†to streamline regular, repeatable low risk changes.
- Proactively identify and escalate potential risks

Must Haves; to be successful
- Multiple years of experience as a/in the role of a Change Coordinator or Manager in an ITIL focussed and large complex organisation.
- A very confident level of verbal and written business communication.
- Experience in controlling forums with many participants
- Organisation and Coordination is a big part of this role – be sure you can demonstrate your ability to prioritise, control and complete actions & tasks in a time critical environment
- A strong desire to work within a diverse team of professionals.
- Experience in collaborative working with integrated suppliers (internal and external)
- An aptitude for imparting your experience and ways of working to others
Highly Desirable
- Experience in the complimentary ITSM disciplines; Release Management, Incident Management, Problem Management, Configuration Management
- An interest in & understanding of technology services delivery at an enterprise level

Salary and Benefits
The salary for this position is Grade 8 $120,423 - $134,872 per annum plus superannuation and leave loading.
