Join us as a CEO Communications Manager

• This is your chance to become an integral part of the CEO office and play a key role in the CEO's communications narrative
• You’ll be overseeing internal and external engagements which are delivered by, or directly attributable to, the CEO to deliver our corporate narrative and employee engagement across the bank
• Expect to grow your network and enjoy great visibility for both you and your work, as you build strong, productive relationships with agency partners and our Communications function

What you'll do

As our CEO Communications Manager, you’ll be managing communications for our CEO and working with the wider Communications team and agency partners to create a holistic and strategic CEO engagement plan. You'll also be writing scripts and responsible for written messages which are delivered by or directly attributable to the CEO.

You’ll be working across a broad portfolio of subject areas, drawing on wider industry knowledge, research and original thought to draft high quality messaging within our corporate narrative and in the CEO’s tone of voice.

Your key responsibilities will involve:

• Leading on set piece events that the CEO is involved in, both internally and externally, such as One Bank leadership team sessions, colleague engagement sessions, financial results and key public speaking events
• Writing communication messages, speeches and briefing notes for the CEO which relates to, and reinforces, the strategic narrative of the bank
• Helping to draft or edit materials for critical documents including core narrative and financial results
• Working closely with the CEO's office to ensure a highly developed and consistent approach to tone and narrative
• Using data-driven insight and measurement of activity to objectively measure progress to influence strategic advice and our communications approach
• Providing submissions for the CEO weekly pack in a timely manner

The skills you'll need

To make an impact with us, you’ll need first class writing skills with broad and varied experience of core messaging, including producing speeches, for senior leaders. You’ll be regarded as a trusted adviser by senior leaders on high profile, sensitive or complex issues and able to develop strong, productive working relationships.

You’ll also need:

• To be educated to degree level or equivalent
• Strong senior stakeholder management, advice and negotiation skills
• Experience of being involved in communication events, campaigns and measurement
• Experience of private office support
• An understanding of the commercial and stakeholder UK financial service landscape, as well as key developments in business, politics and media
