BestStart Onehunga is a beautiful childcare centre near the suburbs of One Tree Hill, Royal Oak and Onehunga. We provide a home-like environment that creates a sense of belonging for our children. We are seeking an outstanding, organised and friendly Centre Administrator to join our friendly and welcoming team. BestStart Onehunga is a great place to work, where staff are inspired to be the best they can be and children are at the heart of everything we do. This administration role is key to the success of our centre to enable us to provide the best quality care and education to our children and ensure we meet our requirements under the Ministry of Education regulations.

Our Centre Administrator would be the first point of contact for families and visitors and assist them with enrolment and booking documentation. The role is interesting and varied with general administrative skills, banking, account management processes, debt follow-ups and working with the children to cover breaks for teachers. You will be part of a dynamic and fun environment and receive extensive training and support.

This is a permanent role working 30 hours per week, Monday to Friday.

Role requirements:

  • Team player with excellent communication skills
  • Compassionate towards whanau (one size does not fit all)
  • Good general knowledge of accounts processes and customer account query resolution
  • A fast and efficient learner who is highly organised and meticulous with details
  • Well-spoken, tidy, have excellent telephone manners and good time management skills
  • Proficient in Excel, Word and Outlook
  • Fantastic customer service skills with a willingness to go the extra mile
  • Fun, happy, with a great sense of humour.
