We are currently seeking hospitality all-rounders for Catering Assistant roles based at Victoria University Halls of residence in Wellington.  The ideal candidates will have a flexible attitude and be prepared to work shift work as sites operate 7 days per week. This role is a permanent full time role with a minimum of 30 hours per week during the tertiary education terms.

Your responsibilities will include but are not limited to:

• Basic meal preparation - Cooking/Baking/Grilling
• Re-stock and replenishing supplies
• Providing a warm, friendly, welcoming and professional style of service to our residents
• General cleaning of kitchen/front of house areas

To be considered for this role you will have to:

• Be a team player but also able to work autonomously
• Demonstrate previous experience in a similar role
• Have a flexible approach and attitude
• Demonstrate excellent communication skills
• Be hard working
• Be physically fit and reliable
• Ideally hold NZQA Food Handling certificates Units 167 & 168
• Have a safety focus and an awareness of health and safety practices and protocols
