Why not come and join our dynamic catering team as we provide welfare and support to the recruits, training staff, civilian and support staff at the Infantry Training Centre, Vimy Barracks, Scotton Road, Catterick Garrison. Providing a varied menu of hot and cold food as an alternative to the Cook House. We aim to make the centre as friendly and welcoming as possible, a home from home.
You will have experience of preparing food and cleaning food preparation areas along with the ability to build relationships with colleagues and our customers. You will feel comfortable working within a team as well as working alone at times.
Working an average of 30 hours per week on a two-shift system – alternating between the morning shift (8.00 am – 2.30 pm) and the evening shift (4.30 pm – 9.30 pm). There will be some weekend work (Sunday evening 4.30 pm – 9.30 pm). Due to the COVID 19 pandemic on occasions we may need to swap staff across the shift pattern, so flexibility is required.
The Salvation Army has worked to support military personnel for over 100 years; supporting from centres like The Vickery Club in the UK and around the world.
