Job Description
What you will be doing:
- Cooking and serving breakfast to the depot staff, interacting with customers and encourage sales using your knowledge and experience of the foods we serve.
- Maintaining the highest levels of food service, kitchen cleanliness and hygiene at all times adopting “clean as you go†throughout the shift.
- Re-stocking the counter and replenishing whether on a day or night shift
- Logging any out-of-date or damaged products or equipment and immediately telling the manager.
- Fill and clean the vending machine on a daily basis.
- Completion of all paperwork e.g. weekly cleaning and outside fridge cleaning
- Correct cash handling notifying the manager of any discrepancies
- Assist the catering manager and team with the preparation of meals for lunchtime (this includes hot and cold dishes).
- Equipment cleaning and dishwashing
- Any additional tasks as required.
What we are looking for:
- Previous food handling experience
- High standard of personal hygiene
- An effective communicator
- Good numeracy and literacy skills
- Demonstrate flexibility and adaptability within a team
- Reliable & co-operative able to work with and alongside other department leaders
