We are currently seeking hospitality all-rounders for Permanent Full time (minimum 30 hours) Catering Assistant roles based at Tupuanuku Halls of residence, University of Canterbury in Christchurch.  The ideal candidates will have a flexible attitude and be prepared to work shift work as the site operates 7 days per week.

What will you be doing?

• Basic meal preparation - Cooking/Baking/Grilling
• Operating the till/eftpos
• Re-stock and replenishing supplies
• providing a warm, friendly, welcoming and professional style of service to all customers
• General cleaning of kitchen/front of house areas

If you're our perfect candidate you will:

• Be a team player but also able to work autonomously
• Demonstrate previous experience in a similar role
• Have a flexible approach and attitude
• Demonstrate excellent communication skills
• Be hard working
• Be physically fit and reliable
• Ideally hold NZQA Food Handling certificates (Units 167 & 168
• Have a safety focus and an awareness of health and safety practices and protocols
