He angitūtanga / The opportunity:

We are looking for an enthusiastic Permanent Part Time Catering Assistant to work at one of our Senior Living sites in Wellington (Metlifecare Karori). Hours of work are Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Fridays 10:30 - 19:00.

Ko o kawenga / Your responsibilities:

In this position you will be responsible for ensuring hygiene, washing dishes, assisting the chef with food preparation, ensuring all requests are dealt with in a professional and timely manner. Providing superb customer service to the sites residents and assisting with general kitchen and cleaning duties.

He kōrero mōu / About you:

If you're our ideal candidate you will be flexible, reliable, honest and hardworking, with a friendly outgoing personality and a 'can do' attitude. Ideally you will already have some experience working in a similar environment, basic knowledge of cooking and hold a food safety certificate (Unit Standard 167). You will have superior customer service skills but most importantly you will demonstrate a passion for great food, customer service and quality.

To be considered for this position you: 

• will be a New Zealand citizen or resident or be in position of a valid NZ work visa.
• will need to Pass a Pre-employment Background Check.
• will need to provide evidence of your Covid-19 vaccination status.
