What we are looking for:

Eurest are currently seeking two hospitality all-rounders for a casual Catering Assistant position at our Fonterra café site in Eltham, New Plymouth.  We need someone who is passionate about providing high quality service, has a sense of humour and will enjoy being part of this small onsite team. The hours of work will be on an as and when required basis. however the shifts vary from 06:00 to 22:00, across 7 days Monday to Sunday.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Basic meal preparation - including grilling and preparing cook to order menu items
• Operating the till/eftpos
• Re-stocking and replenishing supplies
• General cleaning of kitchen/front of house areas
• Providing a warm, friendly, welcoming and professional style of service to all customers

The successful candidates will need to:

• Demonstrate previous kitchen experience and be confident in utilising cooking utilities; grill/oven
• Be a team player with a 'can-do' attitude
• Demonstrate excellent customer service skills and the ability to communicate effectively in the workplace
• Be hardworking, physically fit and reliable
• Have a safety focus and an awareness of health and safety practices and protocols, (ideally will hold NZQA Food Handling Certificate Units 167 & 168)
