He angitūtanga / The opportunity:

We are looking for an enthusiastic Catering Assistant to work at our Senior Living site in Eastcliffe on Orakei, Auckland. Hours of work are permanent, full-time, With a maximum of 30 hours a week, some additional hours may be available as required.

Ko o kawenga / Your responsibilities:

In this position you will be responsible for assisting with general Catering Assistant duties:

• Assist with preparing and presenting food.
• Maintain clean & tidy dining/kitchen areas.
• Wash dishes (e.g. pots & pans, crockery, kitchen equipment.
• Provide specialised service in a the Age Care environment.
• Apply basic communication skills.
• Work with colleagues and customers.
• Follow Compass health, safety and security procedures.

You will also be providing superb customer service.

If you're our ideal candidate you will be a responsible person will be reliable, honest and hardworking, with a friendly outgoing personality and a 'can do' attitude. You will have excellent customer service skills, and enjoy interacting with the elderly. Ideally you will already have some experience working in a similar role. Most importantly you will demonstrate a passion for great food, customer service and quality.

To be considered for this position you will: 

• be a New Zealand citizen or resident or be in position of a valid NZ work visa.
• need to Pass a Pre-employment Background Check.
• need to provide evidence of your Covid-19 vaccination status.
