About the role:
We are looking for an enthusiastic Catering Assistant to work at our Senior Living site in Tauranga. The hours of work are on a permanent full time basis, 40 hours per week. Hours of work are to be rostered over 7 days a week, working 5 days out of the 7 (8hrs per day).
For this age care facility we are looking for a mature, responsible, reliable, fast and honest catering assistants. Who follows high standards of food safety and hygiene while taking pride in presentation and details.
What would you be expected to do:
In this position you will be responsible for basic food preparation (breakfast meals), providing superb customer service to the sites residents, stock control and assisting in general kitchen and cleaning duties.
Ideal skills and experience you will have:
If you're our perfect candidate you will be hard working, with a friendly outgoing personality and a 'can do' attitude. Ideally you will already have some experience working in a commercial kitchen, hold a food safety certificate (Unit Standard 167). You will have superior customer service skills but most importantly you will demonstrate a passion for great food, customer service and quality.
