An exciting opportunity exists for the casual After Hours Nurse Manager to work with very dynamic mental health service teams across MHDA sites, including Macquarie hospital, Royal North Shore Hospital and Hornsby Hospital

Where you'll be working
The Casual AHNM will work across Mental Health facilities in NSLHD. The AHNM role is rostered evening, night shift, weekends and Public Holidays.

The incumbent in this position is accountable for the operational management of the MHDA sectors after hours.
The roles and responsibilities of the position include but are not limited to the following:
Access and patient flow management
Management of staffing resources
Oversight of clinical management issues
Management of incidents and complaints
Liaison and co-operation with the After Hours Nurse Managers – across Mental Health Drug and Alcohol Services

Current Registration as a Registered Nurse with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulatory Agency (AHPRA).
Extensive post-registration clinical experience in the Mental Health settings and recent experience working in senior nursing management positions.
Proven leadership qualities and the ability to set priorities establish and achieve agreed objectives particularly surrounding patient access and clinical innovation reflated to patient flow processes and KPI achievement.
Effective negotiation and conflict management skills with the ability to motivate staff and maintain effective relationships.
Demonstrated ability to be innovative, creative, motivational and self-directed with workplace projects and clinical innovation which reflect person centred care priorities.
Demonstrated understanding of Microsoft Office computer applications, Health Support platforms and the Patient Flow Portal.
Current NSW Driver’s licence.
