The Opportunity
Right now, we have several permanent full-time opportunities for Construction Carpenters to be part of our Regional Maintenance team based in Wagga Wagga or Hay, NSW.
You will be responsible in carrying out all carpentry trade activities, including the maintenance of bridges and structures and carry out duties that are within the scope of the trade. Working under limited supervision, you will generally perform a wide range of advanced on-trades functions which you have acquired through experience and formal training. You will on key projects throughput the region and the role will require you to work away from home. On top of a competitive wage you will also get a regular living away from home allowance.
About you
We’re seeking a trade qualified carpenter with excellent communication skills and enjoys working towards delivering results in a team environment. You hold one of the following trades:
You have the ability to identify and report safety and environmental hazards in the workplace and rectify those without direction and report accordingly. You will also have the capability to achieve quality standards and follow established quality procedures within the scope of training provided in the role.
Finally, you hold a White Card, a current driver’s licence, and are willing to work outside normal working hours and attend callouts if required. Typically, you will work a 9-day fortnight with most of the work requiring you to stay away from home.
Whilst not essential, a MR Truck licence and Traffic Control tickets are desirable.
