Due to a very busy holiday period and continued strong growth, we are currently seeking several new exceptional CAREGivers to join us on our journey to help us support awake overnight shifts, sleepovers, and daytime work across Auckland. We are seeking reliable, empathetic, and compassionate people to provide non-medical assistance to older adults in their own home. To us, it’s personal, and we need special CAREGivers to help us personally provide the best quality in-home care and support for our clients. No experience, certifications, or qualifications are necessary as we will train you.

About us: Home Instead is a specialist provider of high-quality, relationship-based, in-home care for older New Zealanders. We help with a range of personal care and lifestyle needs while providing welcome companionship. Our services include assistance with personal care, light household duties, meal preparation, medication reminders, transport to appointments, shopping, and social outings.

About this role:

• Providing compassionate home care through building trust and taking the lead to support individuals to live as independently as possible at home.
• Individualised care that is tailored to suit the personal needs of our individual clients.
• Doing meaningful work which has a real impact on people’s lives.
• Provide personal care to our clients, including assistance with transport and general home support, assistance with meal, showering, dressing, grooming, toileting, and mobility

Ideally, we would like you to:

• Be personable, approachable, and able to build relationships with each of your clients
• You have a big heart, patience, and a desire to help improve the lives of older adults and their families
• Have clear communication skills
• Be proficient in the use of and have a mobile smartphone
• People person looking for a meaningful way to contribute back to the community
• Any nationality but we are also currently looking for Malaysian, Singaporean, and Chinese CAREGivers for existing clients
• Have a full driver’s license and access to an insured car
