Job Description

We are working alongside aged care facilities around New Zealand to help find permanent and temporary staff. We are currently searching for compassionate, empathetic Caregivers to join a team in Cambridge. This is permanent full time position, with a 4 days on 2 days off roster.

As a Caregiver, you will work under the guidance and supervision of qualified nursing staff and management, to make a positive impact on the lives of our residents. You will deliver the highest quality person first care to residents in line with their individual care plan

Key Task and Responsibilities

  • Treat residents with respect and dignity
  • Provide personal care assistance with daily living
  • Mobility assistance in accordance with resident care plans
  • Maintain accurate health care documentation as required
  • Encourage all residents to participate in scheduled social activities
  • Contribute to the development of a positive, safe, home environment for residents, visitors, and the wider team
  • Adhere to workplace health and safety guidelines and policies

About you

  • An NZQA qualification in Health Care and Wellbeing is preferable, however, this is not essential
  • Ideally, you will have previous aged care experience, however, we are willing to provide comprehensive training to the right candidate
  • Demonstrate enthusiasm, care, and passion for making a positive impact on residents
  • Reliable transport or travel arrangements

The NZ Government COVID-19 Public Health Response (Vaccinations) Order 2021 (Vaccinations Order), has mandated that workers in the health and disability sector must be double vaccinated, including booster vaccinations which came into effect on 23 January 2022. Due to this mandate, we will need evidence of your two vaccinations and your booster.

If you received your second dose on or before 16 August 2021, then you must get the vaccine booster by 15 February 2022. If you received your second dose after 16 August 2021, then you must get the vaccine booster within 183 days (6 months) of your second dose. You will be asked to provide evidence of your vaccination status during our recruitment process.
