We are recruiting for a fun loving, enthusiastic caregiver to work in our family home with our 30 year old son, who has both physical and intellectual disabilities.
We are looking for someone who is positive, with high energy levels, initiative and problem solving skills.
The ability to work unsupervised is also required. We work in a high trust model where we value our employees like family members.
Our young man requires help with daily living tasks, including personal care. He loves to access his local community and values being fit and healthy with daily walks to help maintain mobility and fitness. Willingness to take our son to the pool regularly is an additional requirement. Finding opportunities to create social interactions is also encouraged in this role. Supporting our son to make contributions in his home includes some meal preparation and housekeeping duties.
Some additional respite may also be available by mutual agreement.
This role is a permanent part-time position. The position is 27 hours weekly on Thursday, Friday and Saturday from 8 am to 5 pm. Saturdays can be negotiable for occasional weekends.
