The Mandurah Social Centre aims to support club members to interact with others in a comfortable home environment to support both the person attending and the family to take a break away from home.

Our Centre is designed to promote healthy aging, prevent social isolation and support a person to grow their interests, hobbies and maintain social connections in a relaxed and informal home setting.

Care Workers engage in a variety of activities including but not limited to Personal Care, meal preparation, group activities & driving a commuter bus during excursions

To assist our wonderful club members, we are looking for Care Worker on a perm part-time basis.

You should be available for a 4 days per week between the times of 8am to 4pm, with shifts on Monday/Wednesday/Thursday and Friday.

About You

Successful candidates are required to demonstrate the following:

• Certificate 3 in Individual Support or equivalent (desirable) or
• Cert III in Allied Health Assistance or working towards
• Have experience working in the community
• Current Australian driver’s license
• Registered Vehicle, suitable for work purposes
• be comfortable driving a minibus such as the Toyota Hiace
• Pass a medical appraisal (known as FCT)

Care Worker benefits include the following:

• Smart phone & training provided to perform your work
• Hourly rate of $27.50p/h plus 10% Super
• Salary packaging, up-to $15,899 per year

Based on Silver Chain Group Policy and State Government Directions, you will be required to provide evidence of your COVID-19 vaccinations, including booster requirements, or evidence of a medical exemption, to be considered for employment with Silver Chain.
