A career in our Immigration Law practice will provide you with the opportunity to help our clients adopt a more strategic approach to managing their Canadian immigration legal matters.

As a Canadian Immigration Lawyer, you will collaborate with a high-volume team in a dynamic and fast-paced work environment that will carefully and efficiently manage the end to end process of various immigration services and products. You will assist in providing strategic advice and counsel to both employers and employees to help our clients gain maximum value on their immigration and mobility strategies.

This role is in PwC’s Immigration Services Business. PwC has announced its intention to sell the Global Mobility Tax & Immigration Services Business toClayton, Dubilier & Rice (CD&R) subject to the satisfaction of a number of conditions and, in some countries, employee consultations. Further details will be provided if your application is successful.

What you'll create and do

As a Senior Associate, you'll work as part of a team of problem solvers, helping to solve complex business issues from strategy to execution. PwC Professional skills and responsibilities for this management level include but are not limited to:

What you'll bring to this role

An interest in upskilling for a digital world and technology trends, an openness to learning new tools and adapting how you work;

Law Degree and called to a Canadian provincial or territorial Bar; 

More than 2 years’ experience practising Canadian immigration law, including permanent residence applications under Express Entry as well as sponsorships and provincial nomination-based applications

Experience with work permit applications and related TR matters, including LMIA applications, Free Trade Agreements, Reciprocal Employment, Open work permits, business visitor applications, as well as admissibility matters.

Knowledge of Canadian immigration laws, regulations and procedures

Analyzing information and using logic to address work-related issues and problems; 

Ability to work in a team environment;

Excellent communication skills – active listening, effective oral communication and written communication skills; 

Time management skills, including ability to manage a complex portfolio, with a focus on customer service;

Proficiency in Microsoft Office, Google Suite, and immigration case management tools and software are considered an asset
