Job Summary:
We are recruiting a Business Training Manager responsible for coordinating & overseeing all technical training activities for ILS team members across EMEA, management of the regional technology trainer resource which also includes management of the EMEA ILS Training Laboratory. This role will work across all accounts within the CBRE Integrated Laboratory Solutions group network.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Technical Training Calendar
· Maintain an ILS Technical Training calendar for EMEA which details:
· Internal technical training courses scheduled to take place both on account & at the ILS Training Laboratory.
· External technical training courses from our supplier partners.
Talent Coach Alignment
· Ensure all technical training certification is maintained for all ILS technical roles in EMEA.
· Ensure appropriate reassessment schedules are assigned to all ILS technical roles based upon their area of specialism and equipment exposure levels.
Training Course Coordination
· Management of all communications relating to attendance of all technical training courses.
· Maximise participation in all technical training by seeking to fill vacant places with relevant individuals from across ILS.
Client Facing Courses
· Identify opportunities in the market for ILS to provide best practice training courses to equipment users from current and prospective accounts.
· Develop the business model to enable these courses to be delivered in a profitable & sustainable manor.
· Seek to align course pipeline with key ILS supplier partners.
Regional Training Laboratory
· Ensure the laboratory has all the supplies required to deliver a full range of technical training courses.
· Manage scope of works, costs, and expenses to meet/exceed budgeted financial expectations
Health, Safety Environmental Arrangements:
· Raise and/or follow task-based Risk Assessments/Method Statements (RAMS), COSHH, Manual Handling and Display Screen Equipment (DSE) ensuring that controls are fully met. Carry out high risk tasks in full compliance with CBRE Procedures, Guidance and Rules, and in accordance with responsibilities/duties specified within CBRE arrangements when appointed as an Authorised/Competent Person. Clean up areas on completion of engineering work and maintain the cleanliness of lab equipment and workshops ensuring that the area is free from engineering debris and waste.
· Act as a receiving authority under CBRE Safe Systems of Work (SSoW) when trained and authorised to safely carry out the duties and responsibilities of an authorised and/or competent person.
· To take reasonable care for the health and safety of themselves and of other persons who could be affected by their acts or omissions.
· Ensure that a full and detailed task specific Risk Assessment/Method Statement is completed prior to any work commencing.
· To report any accidents or near misses that they experience, or witness, to their Line Management.
· To co-operate and assist in all aspects of health and safety procedures introduced by management for their well-being.
· To wear personal protective equipment when conditions require or when required to do so by the relevant risk assessment, method statement or mandatory signage.
· To follow safe working procedures when handling, storing, using or transporting any COSHH controlled items.
· To report any medical problems experienced when undertaking any work functions to management.
· To maintain a good standard of Laboratory keeping throughout their areas of work.
· To ensure that work equipment is only used for its intended purpose and that they have been trained to use it.
· To not interfere with any equipment provided for their safety.
Requirements
· NVQ Level 3 or higher in an appropriate discipline, with a minimum of 5 years of experience and accomplishment while operating in regulated environments.
· Applicant must have knowledge of FDA guideline interpretations, GMP & GLP. Provide demonstrated knowledge of Pharmaceutical, Biotech, and Medical Device industry products and services.
· Track record of identifying organisational technical knowledge gaps and implementing appropriate solutions.
· A proven knowledge of, and experience of working with, the Life Science industry supplier base including analytical instrument OEM’s, service providers and consumables vendors.
· Demonstrable experience in delivering and growing scientific services within a pharma and laboratory environment.
· Provide demonstrated leadership, team building, strong organizational skills, project planning and management with a participatory management style.
· Excellent presentation and communication skills and MS Office literacy required.
· Requires the ability to travel regularly within the region, and throughout the UK & Ireland where required.
