Business Operations and Governance Manager

Location: : Global - (UK/Spain/Italy/Germany/Turkey)

By working together as one Vodafone and consistent with our strategy we are transforming Vodafone into a Technology Communications Company (Tech Comms); offering a range of products and services beyond connectivity to our customers to deepen our relationship with them. To harness our full potential, we need to change fundamentally how we work in certain areas of our business. We need to simplify and standardise how we operate to benefit from our unique advantages of scale and move to a more efficient and effective model to deliver our growth ambitions. 
Digital & IT is a newly emerging function within Technology that will be critical to this transformation on a global level. Within this newly created function, a new domain called Lean Portfolio Management & Transformation (LPM&T) has been established with the following mission:
•    We are the trusted Enablers of the Business, ensuring that the delivery roadmap of demand will be aligned with the Tech 2025 Strategy and our new Product Operating Model via managing demand, capacity and performance.
•    We are the drivers for increasing our delivery efficiency by providing data-based business insights and focusing on the re-usability and standardisation across all markets, also by involving our IT partners. 
•    We are role modelling the agile ways of working and implementing the SAFe methodology within Digital & IT by setting up an overarching LACE Structure. 

Role purpose
This is a unique opportunity to support the Head of Lean Portfolio Management & Transformation on a global level and to gain unparalleled visibility of the way the Digital & IT domain is run. 

You will facilitate the Head of LPMT and LPMT team in operating effectively within Digital & IT. The role is multi-faceted and fluid, and you will be involved with a range of initiatives that can be dictated by external and internal factors, as well as a ‘core’ set of accountabilities around governance.

Key accountabilities and decision ownership 

•    Continuously improve and drive adherence to/application of Lean Governance models and process to enable strategic decision making. 
•    Manage LPM&T Meetings and offsite sessions ensuring appropriate time is spent on the right topics, driving a standard cycle of agendas with timely inputs, pre-reads and preparation
•    Ensure smooth onboarding of new team members since LPM&T is a new and growing function in providing a comprehensive onboarding pack and arranging the required information and meetings for any new team members
•    Establish and run governance within the LPM&T at the centre with the SPOCs in the local markets and within the function including preparation of topics, meeting minutes and follow-up 
•    Preparation of required LPM&T reviews up to TLT/CxO level, customer meetings, external presentations, agreeing approach and co-ordinating content production to a high standard
•    Manage schedule of head of function in alignment with strategic priorities of function, stakeholder map and team


•    Excellent communication skills – able to convey complex messages in a simple and concise manner
•    Excellent executive storytelling skills
•    Excellent Powerpoint skills
•    Excellent organisational skills – able to manage multiple priorities and deliver to daily deadline
•    Highly structured and organized with a high quality standard
