Role:

Global Spread Products is seeking an experienced BI manager to focus on the division’s analytics. This person will design dashboards for management reporting and will build tools that streamline workflows. This person will work closely with the front office and our business administration team and must be able to follow business flows and suggest improvements that will reduce manual touchpoints and increase productivity.

Background:

Global Spread Products (GSP) is the primary source of capital for corporations, governments, and non-profits, providing liquidity and innovative solutions globally across the credit, municipal, and securitized markets. The product development team sits at the intersection of sales, trading, structuring, capital markets, origination, and technology with responsibility for implementing process improvements, analyzing business requirements, translating user needs into functional specifications and realizing senior management's vision. Responsibilities also include defining the system scope and leading process changes from requirements through implementation. Our team oversees a wide array of front office systems including origination, pricing and risk, inventory management, securitization, and database management, as well as business intelligence and reporting.

Job Responsibilities:

• Manage a team of data scientists who develop data visualizations, dashboards and reports using Tableau and/or Qlikview and/or Web Solutions for management reporting
• Streamline manual processes by introducing automated tools to improve workflows
• Gather business requirements, develop prototypes and solutions, and properly demo solutions to end-users
• Rapidly develop tactical solutions and coordinate with technology partners on strategic implementations
• Serve as the analytics point-person for Global Spread Products
• Identify trends across key business lines
• Simplify the division’s reporting footprint by centralizing and standardizing like information
• Manage and oversee a transition plan to retire and replace Qlikview dashboards with Tableau
• Respond to ad-hoc data requests and reporting, and develop an in-depth knowledge of GSP’s Data sets
• Maintain and prioritize detailed project plans

Required Skills and Qualifications

• Expert in Tableau and/or Qlikview and/or Web Design with 5+ years creating dashboards and tools for end users in finance
• A background in Python or SQL or R or any Software Development languages is preferred.
• Experience working with data models
• Knowledge of fixed income products
• Bachelor’s/Master’s Degree from an accredited institution with a focus on computer science, mathematics, information systems, or business
• Must be passionate about technology, innovation and transformation within the financial services industry
• Ability to quickly grasp the complex and varied business workflows
• Ability to work in a dynamic environment under tight deadlines with changing priorities
