About the Team

The Safety, Environment and Regulation(SER) division upholds safety and sustainability in our transport system. We’re working to deliver globally-recognised, safe, sustainable transport for our people, customers and the community.

The Safety branch within SER has the Maritime and Transport Safety Strategy & Policy team (MTSSP) which develops policy, strategies, programs, projects and campaigns for promoting and improving maritime and transport systems safety. Accountable for the development of the Marine Estate Management Strategy (MEMS) and developing internal health and safety strategy and policies.

The Strategy & Business Transformation team sits within this area and assists the business by delivering insights to inform the standards and uplift performance, through data analytics, research, evaluation and subject matter expertise.

The opportunity

Right now, we have an opportunity for a Business Analyst whose responsibility is to collaborate with the Business providing analysis and documenting business processes, systems, and other functional requirements to facilitate improvement and support the efficient delivery of business operations and performance in line with strategic objectives and key business priorities.

About you

We are looking for a team player who has excellent communication skills as you will be liaising with many areas of the business including internal and external stakeholders to analyse a variety of situations looking at impact, ensuring alignment with strategic plans and risk mitigation for proposals for various Water and Road Safety iniatives.

You will have strong analytical skills, an eye for detail and a good understanding of the culture and operations of Transport for NSW.

Your ability to identify, engage and work with stakeholders at all levels is essential as are good written communication skills.

Ideally you will have worked in an Agile project management style environment.

You will have the ability to move across a variety of different projects simultaneously supporting a number of team members managing the competing priorities and different timelines of these projects.

Salary and Benefits

The salary for this position is Transport Grade 8 ($120,423 - $134,872) per annum plus superannuation and leave loading.
