Purpose of the role

 The Business Analyst is responsible for providing commercial support, analysis and insights that improve business performance, whilst supporting the annual budgeting process & monthly reporting cycles, along with ad-hoc additional finance tasks commensurate with the needs of a new and high growth business.

 About the role

 This is an opportunity to support one of our fastest growing businesses across the group. You will have the opportunity to take on additional tasks as the business expands. As a start, you will be supporting with:

• Operating expense processing, forecasting & accruals posting
• Detailed COGS review, forecasting and management
• Day to day capital management & forecasting, plus assist with capital request submissions and approvals
• Assist business partners with Ariba queries, PO requirements and liaise with Financial Shared Services to ensure payments are made on me to vendors
• Assist the SBA with building business cases to identify new opportunities for the business
• Improve team ways of working by introducing innovative analysis, systems efficiencies, improving processes and providing constructive challenge to all areas
• Support managers with weekly, monthly and quarterly reporting requirements and the analysis of financial performance
• Define solutions to automate and improve reporting
• Play a key role in the Annual Operating Plan
• Ad-hoc additional finance tasks commensurate with the needs of a new and high growth business;
• Contribute to a culture of mental agility, innovation and operational effectiveness within the team
• Build rapport and manage relationships with business stakeholders 

About You 

As the ideal candidate, you will be an analytical thinker with the ability and willingness to take things on as they come your way. You will be ambitious with a genuine desire to contribute and partner with various stakeholders. You will also have:

• A minimum of 3 years of relevant experience
• CA/CPA qualified
• Finance and Management accounting experience
• SAP/GCP/Tableau or other large ERP experience
• Strong Excel/Powerpoint skills
• Experience working in large complex organisations
• Mentally agile and comfortable with uncertainty (fast growing business)
• Strong month end reporting and some commercial analysis experience
• Process improvement experience will be an added advantage but not mandatory
