This role will report into the Executive Product Manager for the Radio & Music Services (RMS) Team. RMS develop APIs to power Sounds on all platforms and the role which sits within the Sound Product Management team.
The Sounds team, part of the Product Group division, is tasked with developing the BBC’s flagship audio product. Along with its sister product, BBC iPlayer, Sounds is a core priority (see https://www.bbc.co.uk/mediacentre/latestnews/2019/annual-plan) and is at the heart of reinventing the BBC for a new generation.
Our product development teams build these two key BBC products. Our mission is to secure the Internet future of BBC. It is an exciting time to join the team as we have ambitious goals to be the number one online audio service in the UK.
Working in digital product development at the BBC means being part of a department whose work impacts 25 million users every day across our products and content consumption. This is an opportunity to work on digital product at a scale that is hard to find.
With established bases in London and Salford, we are also in the process of growing a base in Glasgow. This role is based in London.
