Building Compliance Lead

Job is based in Hinkley Point C construction site, at least 4 days in the office on site and you will be able to work from home the other 1 days.

We are currently looking to recruit a Building Compliance Lead who will be responsible for the assurance of the building Facilities Management service delivery.  Responsible for ensuring the assurance of the efficient delivery of a substantial support service for all buildings owned and operated by Site Operations in accordance with all safety, quality time and cost parameters to meet the needs of the HPC construction project.  You will also provide technical input and advice for your scope of work of your key contract area. You will work with the delivery leads to ensure all areas of the service delivery are compliant to both legal and contractual requirements.

As a Lead your main responsibility will be for developing, reviewing and amending policies and procedures that underpin strategy within their work area, and may also be called upon to help prepare detailed specifications.

What you’ll be doing…

•    Provide assurance of the service delivery of the Facilities Management contract to ensure that all buildings operate and are maintained in accordance with all statutory and mandatory requirements, are compliant with relevant legislation and in line with the project requirements. 
•    Preparation and leadership of compliance audits across the service delivery and manage non-compliance observations through to close out. 
•    Provide expert advice on asset management aligned to legislative requirements and industry best practice, including SFG20.
•    Monitor contract compliance performance and identify future compliance activities via both desk-top activity and site visits, including Associated Development sites in the local area.
•    Form effective relationships with the Site Operations service contract partner and champion with due regard to HPC Values of Clarity, Respect, Positivity, Humility and Integrity
•    Ensure the contract partners team are fully competent to perform their assigned roles – and that any shortfalls are reported to the Senior Facilities Services Delivery Lead and without delay
•    Develop and implement plans to ensure service delivery meets or exceeds the expectations and project work schedule
•    Ensure early intervention to avoid any escalation of issues affecting service delivery by working in the spirit of a ‘one team approach’
 

Who you are…

Essential

•    Degree standard education in related subject or equivalent experience.
•    Experience of relevant building management legislation and regulations; fire, water etc.
•    Experience of asset management systems (CAFM & SFG20).
•    Management [or leadership] experience in a service lead environment.
•    Experience of working in a high security environment.
•    Must be confident in own abilities and be able to deliver in a dynamic environment.  
•    Willingness to learn from both successes and failures.
•    Proven experience within a large project environment.
•    Excellent communication skills and able to strike up effective working relationships.
•    Must be willing to work with our local supply chain partners in a cooperative way. 

 

Desirable

 â€¢    Recognised and certificated ‘Behavioural Safety Programme’.
•    Recent IOSH accreditation [or equivalent].
•    Experience of working in a facilities management environment.
