Job Description

To provide IQP inspections and building certification services to building owners and managers as required under the Building Act 2004 or subsequent versions.

To provide building inspection services as required by clients

• To work at all times in accordance with SGS Quality system procedures
• To work with the business manager to grow the IQP business on a local and National basis
• To ensure all work is completed, reports / certificates issued are correct and invoices issued in a timely manner
• To ensure all activities are carried out with regard and recognition of Health and Safety requirements and personal safety
• Undertake all other relevant work requests relevant to your position
• Advise clients on compliance issues and requirements

Qualifications

A minimum of five years of experience as an IQP

• Trade Qualifications in any of building, electrical, mechanical, HVAC or fire industry preferable
• Understanding of NZ Building Act, Codes and Regulations
• Unrestricted New Zealand Driver Licence
• Current IQP Registrations are preferred
• Is able to use computers and related technologies efficiently
• Has the functional and technical knowledge and skills to do the job at a high level of accomplishment
• Provides the highest quality products and services and meeting the expectations and requirements of internal and external customers
• Establishes and maintains effective relationship with customers and gains their trust and respect
• Gets first-hand customer information and uses it for improvements in services
• Is a strong team player and works well with others
