Job Description

OneStaff New Plymouth is the leading supplier of temporary and permanent staff to many industrial-based clients in New Plymouth.

Our client has been providing personal loans to the public since 1971. With a national network of 26 retail finance branches, their New Plymouth branch is looking for a motivated person with integrity, drive, and energy, who can work effectively from broad instructions to take on the challenge of Branch Manager.

Reporting to the Regional Manager you will be managing a small team out of the New Plymouth office based in the CBD. You will contribute to the development of long-term plans and strategies for the area as well as implementing controls including regular loan hind sighting to ensure the company's lending criteria are adhered to and that lending is maintained within the agreed risk parameters and company policy procedures.

Duties will include but aren't limited to;

  • Recruit and develop staff and other resources to ensure there is operational capacity and resources capable of processing and managing business growth within the region.
  • Contribute to the budgeting and forecasting process and work closely with the regional manager to achieve targets for the are including, new business, revenue growth, and ledger quality
  • Development of lending, credit, and risk management strategies for the company and the area.
  • Ensure that overall ledger quality and level of overdue loans are maintained within the parameter and the portfolio risk is managed within company parameters and adheres to company policy and procedures
  • Undertake promotions to both the existing database and new customers, in conjunction with marketing, co-ordinate promotional activities for the area
  • Support and promote sales opportunities for associated activities including; Easy Driver, MyHome MyFinance, and Protecta products

The successful candidate will ideally possess the following;

  • Finance industry experience, including; lending, credit management, and administration
  • Supervisory and/or Management experience
  • Effective oral and written communication skills
  • Problem-solving, numerical and analytical skills
  • Fully Vaccinated against COVID-19
