Major responsibilities
- Manage and review general ledger
- Appease accounts by balancing entries
- Craft Accounts Receivable invoices, reviewing payments received, and record deposits
- Put together financial reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing account information
- Oversee and maintain a well-run system to account for financial transactions by establishing a chart of accounts; define bookkeeping policies and procedures
- Be responsible for accounts by verifying, allocating, and posting transactions
- Uphold quality historical records by filing documents
A Successful Candidate Will Have:
- 3+ years of previous experience as a Bookkeeper
- Well-founded grasp of payroll
- Billing experience
- General familiarity with payroll for under 100 employees
- Quality experience with Payroll Tax
- Earlier work involving Accounts Payable (AP)
- Billing Functions experience
- Wide ranging experience with Process Biweekly Payroll
- Practical knowledge of Payroll Functions
- Comprehensive knowledge of Ceridian
- Command of Sage 50
- Billing Statements experience highly desired
- Proven knowledge of Canadian Payroll
- Good understanding of data entry
- BS Degree in Accounting, Finance or Business Administration preferred
- Previous experience using accounting software
