We are seeking a Bookkeeper with great interpersonal skills and a background in accounting to join our team. A long-term contract / temporary to hire position, this Bookkeeper role would be located in the Ottawa, Ontario region. Responsibilities

- Support accounts by verifying, allocating, and posting transactions

- Maintain quality historical records by filing documents

- Preside over an efficient system to track financial transactions and define policies and procedures for bookkeeping

- Reconcile accounts by rectifying entries

- Craft Accounts Receivable invoices, reviewing payments received, and record deposits

- Arrange financial reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing account information

- Manage and review general ledger

Requirements

- Previous experience as a Bookkeeper preferred

- Post secondary education in Accounting, Finance or Business Administration preferred

- Previous experience using accounting software

- Knowledge of Administrative Assistance

- Bookkeeping experience desired

- Deep understanding of customer service
