The position: 

As part of the Woolworths at Work Acquisition Team, this role will be responsible for creating and delivering critical business proposals and tenders as we scale our customer portfolio and revenue.Reporting to the Head of Pricing, this role will deliver commercial results by developing, implementing and continuously improving the bid and tender process. Working closely with the sales, account management, pricing, marketing and sourcing teams, your focus will be to project manage all bid activities including bid timelines and project plans as well as drafting and collating all required information to effectively develop competitive proposals for our customers. 

  • Draft and collate all documentation to deliver sophisticated and competitive customer-centric proposals and tender submissions. This includes supporting with the delivery of critical presentations to assist the Woolworths at Work teams 
  • Lead the project timelines and project plan end-to-end to ensure timely bid completion. Track bid performance of proposals. 
  • Build strong relationships with a number of departments across the organisation including the sales, account management, pricing, legal, finance and marketing teams to ensure consistent bids and tenders approach

 The key measure of your success is as follows: 

  • Maintaining win rates for bids and tenders 
  • Acquisition and retention of business revenue while considering profit implications
  • Deliver efficiencies in the bid management process


About you: 

 Your success will depend on the following skills and experiences: 

  • Extensive experience in proposal and tender writing &  management ideally from within high volume B2B environment (ideal e-Commerce)  within the complex business, with multiple channels and proven delivery of value through alignment to meet business ambitions
  • High attention to detail with strong communication skills – a combination of proficient business / creative writing skills to create customer-centric proposals including facilitation and presentation skills.
  • Ability to understand the business customer and competitive landscape 
  • Strong communication skills – a combination of creative ability and business acumen
  • Highly developed change, project management, planning, and organisational skills 
  • Superior stakeholder management skills, including the ability to gain influence across all organisational levels 
  • Ability to consistently meet deadlines, and provide well-vetted reporting and business recommendations 

You are an innovative, strategic thinker who is customer focused & able to deal with ambiguity.
