The BBC Studios Events team is an award-winning production unit specialising in producing and broadcasting large scale national and international events which are rich in ambition, emotion and creativity.
Responsible for producing some of the biggest moments in in British and world history, such as the Diamond Jubilee Concert, the Royal Wedding of the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge, the Invictus Games, and the New Year’s Eve Fireworks, as well as a range of high-profile documentaries, they provide the opportunity to work on a vast range of content, in a variety of genres, in some of the most exciting locations in the UK and around the world.
We currently have a range of exciting opportunities for experienced Production Co-ordinators to work across the live events and broadcasts for the Platinum Jubilee of Her Majesty The Queen, with various start dates between February and April 2022. The successful candidates will provide production support on what will be one of the largest and most watched Events of the year.
There are a variety of live events occurring across weekend of the 2nd June to the 5th June, one PC will be assigned to each event, the role will include doing VT’s & the live broadcast
Working to a Production Manager, the PCs are instrumental in our programme making. We’re looking for people with a flexible approach, the ability to prioritise workloads efficiently, whilst maintaining attention to detail in a busy and fast paced production environment.
Previous experience working for the BBC is not essential, however experience in live programming or Events would be advantageous, as would experience in setting up VT shoots. You’ll work closely with agents and talent, and be responsible for assisting with the logistics of a large-scale crew and OB setup.
The Jubilee Events are scheduled to take place from Thursday 2nd – Sunday 5th June 2022 so applicants will need to ensure they are able to work on these dates.
