We are currently hiring part-time and full-time baristas to join our team at our exciting flagship store in Downtown Toronto (Queen St and McCaul St, beside OCAD University). The functions of this job entail payment handling at the POS, customer service, sales & daily routine cleanliness & maintenance, drink preparation and various duties required in a cafe. The ideal candidates should be available a minimum of 3-4 (part time) days per week including the ability to work afternoons, evenings, during the day & weekends/holidays.

Responsibilities and Duties:

· Craft beverages, prepare toppings, and package food for customers

· Operate the Point of Sales (POS) terminal

· Maintain inventory by replenishing stock when needed from storage

· Maintain safe and healthy work environments by following formalized standard operating procedures

· Maintain a consistently clean and well-maintained sales floor and stockroom

· Adhere to the cleaning schedule to prolong the life of all equipment

Requirements:

· Previous experience working in food and beverage industry (preferably >1 year working in food & beverage and/or retail)

· Excellent customer service skills, excellent team player

· Excellent communication skills, in English

· Able to work well under pressure

· Ability to work standing, occasionally lift up to 25kg and carry items as required

· As a part time barista - ability to work for at least 10 hours per week (please do not apply if you cannot work for at least 10hr/week)

· Ability to work variable hours including afternoons, evenings, weekends and/or Statutory holidays

· Attend paid training and onboarding sessions prior to commencement of employment

Salary: $15.00-$21.00 per hour
