The Role

The Associate Events Manager designs and produces events that bring together executives, partners, customers and employees. We are seeking a candidate who is passionate about hospitality and events to join our London-based ‘Ohana Floor Events team. Our events vary from in-person, virtual, and hybrid experiences. Success in this role requires agility, clear and compelling communications, outstanding organisational skills, and the ability to collaborate cross-functionally. This position is an in-office role based in London.

The ideal candidate is customer centric, a relationship builder, has impeccable acumen, and strong brand instincts. This position can expect direct interaction with executives, customers and partners, lead event planning development and execution. This individual will work closely with hospitality, facilities, and marketing teams.

Your Impact
Located on the 36th floor of Salesforce Tower London (formerly Heron Tower), the ‘Ohana Floor is a one-of-a-kind space with modern amenities and unparalleled views of the London skyline. The ‘Ohana Floor Events Team is responsible for delivering world class event experiences. The Associate Event Manager will lead with operational excellence to create indelible experiences for executive and customer meetings, off-sites, employee engagement, charitable fundraisers and more!

Roles & Responsibilities

  • The position is responsible for the operational excellence for our events and the holistic guest experience including but not limited to: executive receptions, partner events, non-profit events and employee events
  • Solid people management skills to lead, educate and motivate an extended team
  • Strong customer service and executive interaction experience
  • Ability to multi task many events and projects at one time
  • Understand Salesforce brand and product positioning with the ability to ensure consistent, on-brand messaging
  • Communicate regular event updates to management including Executive leadership
  • Continuous improvement and maintain global team documents and or playbooks for events
  • Ability to be consultative with clients looking to host events in our spaces and possess strong public speaking skills
  • Pre, onsite and post event logistical management
  • Key Stakeholder for G-Cal calendar management for internal event space
  • Determine event goals, create and track measurements and metrics including event surveys
  • Co-manage external relationships (agencies, vendors) and work with internal teams; Sales, Real Estate creative team, Facilities, Employee Engagement, and Salesforce. Org and Office of Equality to support direct efforts and collaborate closely to develop and successfully execute programs
  • Research and report creative event options and entertainment based on program format and budget

Required Skills:

  • 6 years successful event management experience planning customer centric events, in a B2B, high-tech, fast-paced environment
  • Possess strong customer service experience; candidates with a solid events background and are highly personably and service focused
  • Ability to manage multi projects at a given time w/a high level of expertise and skill
  • Excellent written and verbal communication and customer service skills, with the ability to proactively address client's needs
  • Ability to work autonomously on strategic initiatives at the regional and/or global level
  • Experience in managing budgets, financial planning, tracking, analysis and reporting
  • Ability to work well as part of a team, overcoming obstacles, and remaining calm and professional under pressure.
  • Experience will be evaluated based on alignment to the core competencies for the role (e.g. extracurricular leadership roles, military experience, volunteer work, etc.).

Desired Skills:

  • Experience in nonprofit/charity and/or marketing and sales events
  • Excellent problem-solving skills with ability to creatively negotiate demands
  • Results-oriented, customer driven, organised with attention to detail
  • Ability to assess and prioritise workload in a strict deadline oriented environment
  • Thrive on teamwork and overcoming obstacles
  • Experience with on-line registration systems and reporting
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule as needed - evenings and weekends
  • In-depth knowledge of Microsoft Office programs (Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint) is necessary
