We are looking for an enthusiastic team member to join our Merchandising team as an Assistant Merchandiser based at home with working from our Support Centre in Worksop once/twice a month. 

As our Assistant Merchandiser on Home & Kitchen you’ll support, create and execute effective trading strategies and plans. As a category team you’ll deliver against the budgeted sales, net profit and margin across the categories you support. You’ll forecast sales and work towards the business objectives to drive company sales and maximise end to end profitability of products.

Taking huge pride in what you do, you’ll be responsible for:

• Participating in the execution of major cross functional department change projects, liaising with key stakeholders including senior management across the business, whilst effectively supporting your team to ensure that that these are delivered on time, on cost and to the required standard.
• Supporting the delivery of the product and customer strategy and the creation of category specific trading plans including identification of trading opportunities and execution of strategic business plans against the agreed KPI’s.
• Ensuring completion of sales forecasting and strategy planning to drive company sales and maximise end to end profitability of products.
• Responsibility for total company sales and nett margin across accountable categories.

For this role we need someone who has a minimum of 2 years’ experience in a similar role or from a retail background; and can demonstrate strong analytical and financial skills with a commercial way of thinking.
