Job Description Summary
An excellent opportunity has arisen within the Treasury Markets, Rates & FX Market Risk team within the Chief Operating and Risk Science Office. This is an exciting opportunity to be part of a team in a changing and challenging environment, which offers considerable scope for personal development. This team’s main aim is to provide robust and informed challenge to the first line of defence in relation to market risks affecting the Group.
Job Description
This is a "consultancy style" market risk role with the opportunity for exposure to both trading and banking books where you will;
Shown the ability to learn quickly and adapt to new challenges. You have communication and influencing skills, including an ability to get key points across succinctly. Enjoy problem solving, using your initiative and the challenge of a wide variety of work, across different portfolios, risk types and businesses. Interested in current affairs both in the UK and Globally.
Able to adopt a risk mind set and consider how internal and external factors may impact the risk performance of our positions. Be confident to ask the difficult questions and constructively challenge the status quo and be comfortable making and rationalising decisions! It would be advantageous if you demonstrate knowledge or experience across one or more of the following areas:
We're looking for someone who excels at critical thinking, who is willing to challenge, and who is able to think creatively about risks others may have missed. Is keen to work as a member of a small specialist risk team supporting both customers and shareholders through a prudent approach to risk. We deeply value diversity within the team.
