Assistant Manager, Cage Operations

Duties & Responsibilities
- Providing leadership, direction and mentoring to Cage team members.
- Completing and delivering probationary and annual evaluations to hourly Cage team members.
- Training Cage team members, and ensuring they understand all BCLC & Company policies and procedures as they relate to their position.
- Supervising team members; verifying timesheets; assigning shift work tasks.
- Preparing and reviewing Cage records and reports for accuracy.
- Completing internal checks and ensuring we are compliant with all policy and procedures.
- Monitoring and reporting all discrepancies and suspicious cash activities.
- Witnessing and verifying Cage transactions.
- Responding to and resolving issues relating to Cage Operations.
- Liaising and communicating effectively with all appropriate operational departments.
- Developing and cultivating strong working relationships with all stakeholders (guests, ownership, and employees)
- Ensuring compliance with licensing laws, health and safety and other statutory regulations.
- Cage Supervisor coverage as per operational needs.
- Performing other duties as assigned or directed.
Qualifications
- High School Diploma, Post-Secondary education or suitable combination of education and experience an asset.
- Minimum 2 years of experience as a Cage Supervisor.
- Strong knowledge of BCLC AML policy and procedures.
- Thorough knowledge of BCLC and Company policies and procedures.
- Possess strong time-management, planning, decision making, conflict-resolution, problem-solving and communication skills (oral and written).
- Ensure an open and efficient working relationship with all on-site departments and management.
- Highly motivated and goal oriented, excellent leadership and motivational skills; ability to think critically and make decisions.
- Proficient in MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, and Power Point).
- Ability to provide Great Experiences & Memories to all guests, both external & internal.
- Serving It Right Certification or the ability to achieve a Serving It Right Certification.
- The ability to successfully obtain and maintain a record and credit check through the Gaming Policy and Enforcement Branch.
