About the role:
As an Assistant in Nursing, you will be integral to us achieving our goal of healthier rural people and thriving communities.
You’ll have strong communication, empathy and customer service skills while you assist patients with their daily routines, such as showering, toileting, dressing, eating, communication, mobility, medication and exercise. You’ll keenly observe those in your care, keep accurate electronic patient records and assist in the planning of daily routines and ongoing care.
Working closely to assist the registered nurse, you’ll work independently on tasks delegated, collaborate well within a multidisciplinary team and manage a varied workload with competing priorities.

The small yet beautiful town of Brewarrina is situated on the banks of the Barwon/Darling River, 375 kilometres northwest of Dubbo and 130 kilometres south of the Queensland border.

Brewarrina Multipurpose Service (MPS) is a 20-bed health facility which includes residential aged care facilities. The MPS has 24-hour emergency care, outpatient services including renal dialysis and a range of primary and community health services.
You’ll be working at Brewarrina MPS alongside Aboriginal Health Practitioners, Nurses, Visiting FIFO services and Local GP and other agencies. An opportunity to work autonomously as well as part of a team and make a difference to clients with complex health needs.
