Job Summary:

This position is for an Assembler with production and welding experience. This is an entry level position, we are willing to train the right candidates to grow their career with Hayward Gordon.

Responsibilities:    

• Completes fit-up, welding, grinding, deburring, and polishing operations on various mechanical parts.
• Interpret assembly drawings and work order instructions.
• Follow all WHMIS protocols.
• Adhere to all quality assurances.
• Maintain inspection records and complete inspection reports.
• The job requires the use of hand/powered tools, wires, fixtures, parts, sub-assemblies, and operation of overhead crane and pallet jack.

Requirements:

• Technical School Diploma or 3+ years with relevant experience.
• TSSA Certified Carbon and Stainless is a strength.
• Forklift and Overhead Crane experience.
• Math aptitude including geometry, trigonometry and metrology.
• Lifting Requirements: Up to 50 pounds.
• Knowledge of impellers, shafts, gearboxes, and bushings installation and fine adjustments.
• Experience  with complex mechanical and electrical assemblies.
• Knowledge of both manual and electrical tools.
• Proficient knowledge and ability to read engineering drawings.
