The Country Education Strategy 2021-2028 outlines our ambition for a world-class education in every preschool and school in South Australia, and how we intend to support all country preschools and schools to achieve that ambition.
This role is located within the Strategic Policy and External Relations division (SPER), which plays a lead role in coordinating the implementation of the strategy. Initiatives under the strategy will be implemented by divisions across the Department for Education.
The Coordinator, Country Education Strategy will support coordination and alignment of implementation across all divisions in the Department for Education. The role will provide strategic support and advice to the Strategy Sponsor (the Chief Executive) and the department’s Senior Executive Group.
With the support of the department’s External Relations function, the Coordinator will support the department’s engagement with country education stakeholders, including a new Country Education Reference Group and the Rural Youth Ambassadors, to ensure that country voice is embedded in our improvement agenda.
Qualifications
Desirable - An appropriate tertiary qualification in a relevant discipline.
Special Conditions
Please note to be employed by the department in any role, applicants must be vaccinated against COVID-19 or have an approved medical exemption endorsed by the Chief Public Health Officer (or delegate). Proof of vaccination status must be provided for sighting on request.
The successful applicant is required to gain a Department for Human Services (DHS) working with children check (WWCC) prior to being employed which is required to be renewed every five years before expiry.
The incumbent will be required to undertake RRHAN –EC (Responding to Risks of Harm, Abuse and Neglect - Education Care) Facilitator Lead (Masterclass) extended course or the online (Fundamentals) course which will be required to be updated every three years.
