Green Way Environmental is a newly started environmental consultancy business, predominantly concentrating on asbestos surveying, management and hygienist work.

Job tasks and responsibilities

• Using your technical skills to provide support on high profile projects.
• Carry out audits and compliance inspections.
• Asbestos inspection and surveys.
• Create refurbishment and demolition surveys.
• Create asbestos management plans.
• Undertake background monitoring and clearance reports.
• Supervision of asbestos remediation works.
• Project management.

Skills and experience

This role would suit an applicant who has a passion for environmental science and whose strength lies in working with asbestos solutions. In addition to this, top written skills are a must. You will need to be service minded and have good organisational and people management skills.

The successful applicant will possess a relevant tertiary qualification, previous leadership experience, and great interpersonal skills.

Must have:

• Minimum 2 years asbestos assessors experience would be preferred.
• BOHS P402 or similar
• Relevant tertiary qualification in environmental or occupational science.
• Detailed knowledge of regulatory guidelines governing Occupational Health and Safety.
• Full NZ Drivers licence and ability to travel as and when required.

Desired:

• NZ Licenced Asbestos Assessor
• Background in asbestos removal.
• Experience in ISO systems.
• Experience from the civil sector.
• BOHS P403
• BOHS P404
• BOHS P405
• BOHS P401 (desired)
