The Role
Calling all Art Directors keen to buck-the-trend and jump client-side! We are looking for a conceptual Art Director with Digital Agency experience to join our Blue Dot Creative team inspired by talented creatives and designers. You'll be working on Brand & Social Campaigns, learning directly with Google, Adobe and other platforms, whilst overseeing production too. You nail visualisation & come backed with exceptional design skills. You will generate ideas and execute high quality branded content across all channels. Digital first ideas are second nature to you & you are always looking to push the envelope to make work that gets noticed for being innovative.
Your responsibilities would include but are not limited to:
Attend all relevant marketing briefs and work with the Content Production and Blue Dot Studio’s team to interpret creative briefs
Generate concepts and ideas in response to marketing briefs and brand strategies
Drive and develop big ideas that translate through the line to build brand recognition
Collaborate with stakeholders from all areas of the business to deliver digitally-led content that will inspire and excite customers
Work across traditional, digital and emerging platforms
Partner with Blue Dot Studios to bring the campaign concepts to life including the art direction of photography (casting of talent, locations, props, directing shoots and briefing retouching) to deliver high quality photographic output in line with brand guidelines
Be hands-on with design, typography, colour, layout, pre-production, shoot, and post-production
Work collaboratively with the design and digital teams as well as other Marketing stakeholders and channel specialists to deliver high quality content and a consistent brand across all channels
About You
You’re a team player - to thrive in our high performing and innovative culture. You’ll understand how to partner with stakeholders in a positive but effective way to deliver creative ideas and artwork to enhance our customer experience. You’ll also be on the lookout for new creative ways to bring our BIG W brand to life throughout the year and use your unique skills to showcase our new initiatives.
You will bring to the role:
Demonstrable experience working in a role delivering content first creative, ideally in an agency environment for a successful retail business or brand
Possess a detailed portfolio showcasing well-crafted TTL creative solutions
Experience in concepting and executing for multiple channels including print, OOH, TVC, websites, eDMs, social media, and display banners
Ability to deliver multiple projects simultaneously to tight deadlines
Thorough understanding of photography, motion, typography, print and digital channels, with a strong attention to detail
Experience in art directing motion, storyboarding and an understanding of animation principles
Highly skilled in Adobe CC Suite (Photoshop, InDesign, Illustrator)
Team player with strong communication and presentation skills
Excellent at problem-solving
Up-to-date with developing trends in creative and design industries as well as emerging tech and digital platform
