L’Oreal Luxe Fragrance represents the fragrances of Giorgio Armani, Lancome, Yves Saint Laurent, Prada, Mugler, Valentino, Viktor & Rolf, Maison Margiela, Atelier Cologne, Ralph Lauren, Diesel, Azzaro and Cacharel. Launching highly successful brands year-on-year we have celebrated enormous achievement during over the last few years, with some of the most credible brands in the luxury fragrance market and have achieved rankings in the top 5 fragrances in the UK market.

                                                                                                                                       

Our aim is to grow the retail operation in key towns and cities across the UK, in order to provide country wide coverage and maximise our sales potential and market share. In order to facilitate the expansion of the brand, we are seeking an Area Manager who can continue to grow the successful Luxe fragrance business in this key London region.

Purpose of role

You will take full responsibility for the Luxe Fragrance retail portfolio, maximising the sales and customer experience by managing, motivating and developing Sales Consultants in stores in your area.

This role will be responsible for the planning and preparation of sales activity for strategy meetings, liaise with in-store retail management and L’Oréal Luxe departments such as the commercial, merchandising, marketing and logistics and Human Resources teams, ensuring the smooth operation, bespoke quality service and sales opportunities are maximised in all of our doors.

Regular visits to oversee day to day business to include the following:

  • Implementation of business plans, overview of new product launches
  • In-store Merchandising
  • Efficient administration and journey planning
  • Coaching of retailer and temporary consultants to represent the needs of our brands

Store visits across the following locations:

Westfield Shepherds Bush

Westfield Stratford, East London

London City( Canary Wharf & Liverpool St Station)

Bluewater

Croydon

Romford

Epsom

Sales Objectives

  • Ensuring sales are maximised through effective analysis of sales data, monitoring of activity, observation of and response for trends, setting of priorities and evaluation of business initiatives.
  • Monitor and ensure achievement of retail targets set in the key account sectors.
  • Follow through on all promotional activity to ensure sales are maximised, stocks are at appropriate levels and high standards maintained.
  • Provide pro-active feedback to internal departments, investigate and drive discussions on issues involving the accounts.
  • Maintain awareness of competitor and industry activities.


Consultant Management

  • Ensure high quality recruitment and conduct screening interviews within Designer Fragrances recruitment guidelines
  • Work with Human Resources to ensure consultant coverage in-store
  • Conduct disciplinary interviews for all grades of staff ensuring regular updates with Human Resources
  • Ensure on-going motivation, assessment, and development of teams
  • Organisation/implementation of special incentives and competitions
  • Labelling up of order forms and collateral allocation
  • Day to day team manager responsibility such as; holiday requests, absence management and performance reviews

Qualifications required

·       Valid drivers licence

·       Experience of managing teams of individuals in the past

·       Retail background

·       Ability to driving retail sales individually and through a team

·       Strong people management experience and the ability to inspire, motivate, coach and develop people

·       Excellent written and verbal communication skills

·       Self-starter and confident

·       Passion for the fragrance/beauty retail industry

·       Strong organisational skills

·       Strong negotiation skills

·       Flexibility

·       Ability to travel
