Area Controller (Area 1)

Overall Job Function: As HR Controller You support the Country by using data analysis, and compensation structure to guide strategy and actions to improve employee engagement, decrease staff turnover, and consistent KPI reporting. You support the Country by securing the back end of our engagement surveys and talent development tools. Striving for constant improvement, you will partner with the Payroll and ER team to work with a benefits consultant and suppliers to secure a high quality of service while remaining cost conscious.

Job Description

Job Responsibilities (including but not limited to):

• Uses data and partners with Payroll, STAR, and People data to put together reports and analysis to help attract and retain staff.
• Define the logic and/or algorithms required to perform data analysis
• Partners with the controllers and talent acquisition team to predict potential vacancies to minimize the amount of time without management while being cost conscious.
• Works together with Area HR’s and Controllers to find and maintain the optimal scheduling and headcount throughout the year.
• Develops tools and systems to support the tracking of people data and information.
• Uses sick, time and attendance data to identify opportunities with engagement and ineffective hours.
• Analyze, transform, and interpret data for the development of insights, reports, visualizations, and dashboards with user experience in mind on a weekly and monthly basis.
• Partner with external compensation consultants to ensure that H&M offers competitive compensation to attract and retain staff.
• Secure data sets for our engagement surveys and tracking forms to follow up on talent development.
• Supports the maintenance and upgrade of the GROW training platform in collaboration with other functions.
• Leads the HR budget strategy and the returns on investment.
• Develops others to be cost conscious and impact the business through their people strategy.
• Ensure that H&M has competitive benefits to attract and retain staff.
• Ensure all compensation & benefits policies are up-to-date to assist colleagues in their work.
• Leads the promotion and education strategy for benefits and total compensation at H&M.
• Answer employee queries with regards to compensation and benefits in an inspiring way.
• Partners and finds new external business partners to improve the quality of employee benefits while being cost conscious.

Qualifications

Skills, Abilities and Other Requirements:

1-2 years in an HR analyst role (considered an asset)

Certificate/Diploma in HR (considered an asset)

Critical thinking and proven analytical skills

Must have experience independently managing and processing data from Excel, text, other structured and unstructured databases

Advanced to expert-level knowledge of data visualization tools, preferably Power BI and Tableau

Excellent oral and written communication skills

Ability to multi-task and handle different situations/and people in parallel

Passionate to assess and support the needs of customers and colleagues

Detail oriented, with strong organizational and time management skills
