Application Developer

Our client is internationally recognized as one of Canada’s leading and most innovative law firms and they are looking to hire an Application Developer/Financial Systems Analyst. This is a Hybrid role (primarily from home).

Responsibilities

·      Developing and administering Thomson Reuters 3E financial system including Masterfile maintenance, report and metric design and IDE development;

·      Designing, developing and modifying reports on firm financial data using SQL Queries, Crystal Reports, Cosine Broadcast, ARCS3 and other reporting solutions;

·      Working with the Finance Department to ensure the data integrity of our system by reporting on performance indicators and identifying data issues;

·      Performing month-end and year-end closings in conjunction with the Finance Department, including accurate system balancing and integrity checks;

·      Completing day-to-day administrative tasks within the finance system;

·      Collaborate with stakeholders and business analysts to capture business requirements

·      Performing lead technical role in product upgrades, testing phases, technical fixes and integration of 3rd party applications;

·      Providing support on all issues relating to system testing, user group communication and application troubleshooting;

·      Completing accurate technical documentation

Requirements

Must have the following:

• The ideal candidate must have 5+ years of relevant experience with financial systems integration and SQL/C# Development.
• Proficiency in role-specific software, including Thomson Reuters 3E
• Advanced proficiency in MS Office applications
• A Bachelor's degree in Computer Science/Engineering/Management Information Systems OR, in lieu of degree, equal work experience is preferred.
• Candidates should be able to demonstrate excellent verbal and written communication skills.
